ASV Regional Coalitions
The Association of Shelter Veterinarians recognizes the desire and need for collaborative spaces for veterinarians engaged in shelter and community animal care to engage in beneficial discussions and to build community. In an effort to facilitate these spaces, we have developed 11 Regional Coalitions. The goal of these coalitions is to build strong local communities that connect, support, and inspire members in meaningful ways.
Regional coalition discussions are open to all veterinarians who are interested in animal welfare and community health. Upcoming discussions are listed below, under Upcoming Events to the right, and on the main ASV calendar.
Mountain Coalition (AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, UT, WY)
- Wednesday, April 1 at 7:00 PM Mountain
- Led by Drs. Adena Robertson, Ryann Healy, Casey Miller, and Wyatt Frampton
- Join via Google Meet
- The Mountain Coalition plans to meet the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7pm Mountain. Even-numbered months will be Journal Club and odd-number months will be a topic of choice.
West South Central Coalition (AR, LA, OK, TX)
- Tuesday, March 10 at 6:30 PM Central
- Led by Drs. Tanner Hernandez and Molly Chauhan

Dr. Hernandez will be presenting a short presentation entitled "Fighting Parvovirus: Modern Care Strategies and Emerging Updates."
Pacific Coalition (AK, HI, OR, WA)
- Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 PM Pacific
- Led by Drs. Kathy Tyson and Rachel Powell

- The Pacific Coalition plans to meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7pm Pacific.
East North Central Coalition (IL, IN, MI, OH, WI)
- Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 PM Central Time
- Led by Dr. Becca Boronat
